I act as a concierge for residents and manage confidential student information while upholding FERPA policies. Daily I sort and catalog mail for students and assist them with housing-related issues. As a Peer Lab Leader, I was given the opportunity to teach two lab sections, consisting of 25 students each, for the introductory psychology course. I presented predetermined lab activities weekly that focused on psychological concepts that paralleled the lecture section of the course. Through this role I was able to strengthen my public speaking skills and I discovered a joy for teaching which may influence my career later on.

I was responsible for a group of thirty preschool aged children and lead them through structured activities. I also helped teach the children about the Jewish culture, while also learning myself. Based on my outstanding performance as an after school aide, I was given the opportunity to take on more responsibility as the kindergarten teacher's assistant. This position was eyeopening to how mental health issues not only affect children but how they can interfere with learning.
